COMMENTARY

Leicester can be confident in their last few games of salvaging a top-half finish from an indifferent season. For Norwich, there are only two games of this nightmare campaign left for them to endure. That's all for now. Goodbye!
Leicester were worthy winners of this game in the end. They had 20 shots to Norwich's eight and were on top throughout. They rise to 10th in the Premier League table. Norwich stay bottom, having lost their last five games in a row. They've failed to score a goal in their last four. They're just not good enough at this level.
Leicester have strolled to an easy win over Norwich. Two second-half goals from Vardy put an end to Norwich's resistance before Maddison added his name to the scoresheet. Norwich gave Schmeichel some work to do in the first half but offered close to nothing after that.
90' + 1' FULL-TIME: LEICESTER CITY 3-0 NORWICH CITY
90' Leicester succeed in getting rid of the corner after Byram heads off-target. Giannoulis tugs down Maddison to let the hosts escape. Only one more minute of this.
89' Aarons tries to cut the ball back for Pukki from the throw-in, but Evans is well-placed to get to it first. Norwich do get a corner though.
88' Aarons' cross is blocked. Norwich keep possession and Placheta forces a throw-in down the right. It's the first time Norwich have given Leicester anything to worry about defensively for a while.
87' Rowe's muscled off the ball by Tielemans near the halfway line. At least Norwich have been able to give some of their younger players a runout.
85' Vardy's unlucky not to get his hat-trick as he chases a bad pass back to Gunn. The keeper whacks his clearance against the Leicester man and is relieved to see the ball bounce wide for a goal-kick.
84' Leicester are occasionally still trying to score. Gunn claims a loose throughball into his box.
82' Delia Smith and Michael Wynn-Jones look glum up in the stands. Leicester have had an underwhelming season but they've still been far too good for Norwich.
80' Leicester know they've long won the game so they're starting to enjoy themselves. Being a Norwich fan in the away end must be a joyless experience.
78' Leicester earn their 10th corner of the game. Norwich have had one. The visitors manage to hook it out for a throw-in.
76' Leicester are just keeping the ball at this point. Norwich can't get near them. The difference in quality between the two teams is stark.
74' Byram wins a free-kick in his own half as Maddison impedes him. Norwich were in this game in the first half, but they've faded badly since.
72' That's Maddison's ninth league goal this season, a new career high for him in the Premier League. Leicester have had six shots since Norwich last had one, that being Gilmour's effort at the end of the first half.
J. Maddison
Goal
Leicester City
70' GOAL! LEICESTER CITY 3-0 NORWICH CITY! Leicester's superiority is really starting to tell. Dewsbury-Hall's cross from the left is spilled by Gunn. Maddison is waiting on the edge of the box to fire the loose ball home.
69' Leicester have enjoyed even more of the ball in this second half. They've had 67 per cent of it. Norwich aren't getting a sniff of it now.
J. Rowe
M. Rashica
Norwich City
67' Rashica leaves the pitch too. Rowe, another Norwich youth product, comes on.
P. PÅ‚acheta
T. Springett
Norwich City
67' Norwich take the opportunity to freshen things up on the flanks. Springett heads off first. Placheta takes his place on the Canaries' right wing.
66' Norwich are preparing a few substitutions. They've created very little since half-time.
64' Vardy comes close to securing his hat-trick, scuffing a shot across goal from the right of the box. It lacks just a little bit of oomph, allowing Hanley to get to it and clear.
H. Barnes
Assist
Leicester City
62' That's Barnes' second assist of the game, a more delicate one than the first but they all count. It's hard to see a way back for Norwich now.
J. Vardy
Goal
Leicester City
62' GOAL! LEICESTER CITY 2-0 NORWICH CITY! Vardy's enjoying himself now! The Leicester man grabs his second goal of the game, latching onto Barnes' deft pass to lash the ball past Gunn at his near post.
60' Mendy's shot from outside the box is off-target. Vardy races after a ball over the top but can't stop it from going out for a goal-kick. The 35-year-old looks hungry for more goals after his recent spell on the sidelines.
J. Sørensen
L. Rupp
Norwich City
58' Norwich respond to going behind by making a substitution. Sorensen replaces Rupp.
56' Springett buys a free-kick in Norwich's half. Vardy's goal is his 11th of this Premier League season, and his third in five top-flight games against Norwich.
H. Barnes
Assist
Leicester City
54' Barnes wasted no time in finding Vardy there, who was as ever tempting the wrath of the offside flag. It stayed down though, and Leicester's indefatigable forward got a stroke of luck.
J. Vardy
Goal
Leicester City
54' GOAL! LEICESTER CITY 1-0 NORWICH CITY! Norwich's luck really isn't in. Barnes slips Vardy through on goal, and the veteran striker's shot deflects off Hanley's standing foot to loop over Gunn and into the net!
53' Rashica's cross from the left is poor, floating over everyone in the box for Barnes to pick up on the other side of the pitch. It's bad news for Norwich...
52' It's another Leicester corner. Once again, Norwich are able to clear it without much fuss.
51' Leicester's latest corner comes to nothing as a decision goes Norwich's way. Mendy has slotted in front of the Foxes' defence, allowing Dewsbury-Hall to move forward.
50' Hanley bravely sticks his head in the way of a Vardy blast on the half-volley from inside the box. Leicester will get another corner.
48' Norwich handle the corner only for Leicester to get another two shortly after. Maddison's delivery curls out of play for a goal-kick.
47' Leicester get the second half started. The hosts immediately win a corner down their left.
N. Mendy
A. Lookman
Leicester City
46' Leicester make a half-time substitution. Mendy replaces Lookman, who didn't achieve much in the first half.
Norwich have failed to score a first-half goal in 28 of their 36 league games, more than any other team in the league this season. It wasn't for lack of trying here. Both they and Leicester had five shots on target in the opening 45 minutes, but Gunn and Schmeichel look to be in fine form. It bodes well for the second half.
A surprisingly entertaining half comes to an end. Both teams have had plenty of chances to take the lead, especially Leicester who have dominated possession. Gunn and Schmeichel have both made smart saves, while Pukki was unlucky to strike the post at the end of the half. More to come!
45' + 3' HALF-TIME: LEICESTER CITY 0-0 NORWICH CITY
45' + 2' Gilmour skies a hopeful effort from distance. Barnes does too. That'll be all for now.
45' + 1' There'll be two minutes of added time, and Norwich come so close to going in 1-0 up! Pukki beats Schmeichel to hook the ball against the right-hand post! There's no one in yellow there to tap in the rebound.
45' Rashica nearly gets in behind Castagne to latch onto a throughball. The Belgian's well-positioned to cut the ball out first.
44' Maddison twists and turns on the edge of the box before giving Gunn a simple ball to pluck from the air.
43' Byram heads Castagne's cross out for a Leicester corner. Norwich are holding their own as we approach the half-time break.
42' Vardy gets into the right of Norwich's box and dinks the ball towards the far top corner. It's an easy catch for Gunn.
40' Lookman nods the ball down for Barnes, who goes down in the box under pressure from Lees-Melou. Barnes looks up at the referee more in hope than expectation. A penalty isn't given.
39' Gilmour swings the corner in. It's worked back towards goal and Schmeichel claims Hanley's looping header.
38' Springett's fizzed cross from the right is blocked. Rupp arrives to help his teammate out and earns Norwich a corner.
37' Gilmour's swiped shot from distance is a routine stop for Schmeichel.
36' Maddison goes for goal again from range. Once more, Norwich get a body in the way. Leicester seem a little anxious to grab an opening goal.
35' Aarons nods the ball out for a Leicester corner down their left. Maddison swings it in and Evans keeps it alive. Norwich get a foot to it and clear.
34' Rashica plays a quick pass inside to Rupp who's bursting into the box from deep. The German's cross is intercepted before it can reach Pukki.
32' Norwich pop the ball around for a bit without managing to break Leicester down. Vardy clips Hanley to hand the visitors a free-kick.
30' After some checks, Aarons looks to be OK. Castagne hangs up a cross from the right. Barnes goes for a header at the far post and powers it way over the crossbar.
28' Gilmour's back in action now. Norwich have Aarons down inside the centre circle. Leicester play on. Gunn drops to his knees to prevent Lookman from beating him low from the centre of the box! It's just as well. Norwich would have been furious had he scored.
26' Gilmour leaves the pitch briefly to get replacement boots. Meanwhile, Tielemans has another long-range shot blocked. Gunn booms a goal-kick upfield.
24' Lookman attempts to send Vardy racing in behind but his pass is blocked. The Nigeria international tries to bustle through the Norwich defence himself, cannoning the ball against a defender from inside the D.
22' Aarons tries to get past Barnes and gets bundled over by the Leicester winger. Norwich gratefully accept the free-kick in their own half.
20' Leicester slow the game down for a moment, keeping the ball. Lookman slams a shot against a defender. The hosts rebuild.
18' Leicester get a free-kick in Norwich's half only for Lookman to stray offside. This game's looking fairly open.
16' Schmeichel makes another fine save from Giannoulis' snap shot in the centre of the box. The Leicester captain is earning his keep early on.
14' Norwich nearly snatch the lead themselves! After surviving a second Leicester corner, Rashica wriggles free down the right and squares the ball for Springett. Schmeichel races straight off his line to block the youngster's shot! Pukki arrives on the scene, but the Dane is equal to his blast too.
13' Maddison shoots again from the edge of the box, forcing Gunn to hand Leicester a corner. Norwich manage to deal with it, but the pressure's building on the Canaries already.
11' Gunn makes a great double save to deny Leicester the lead! Maddison lets rip from distance and the Norwich goalkeeper does well to push the shot aside. Vardy gets on the end of the rebound and Gunn flaps it away with one hand to keep Norwich's clean sheet intact.
9' Tielemans wrestles the ball off Gilmour in midfield and floats a delicious cross into the path of Vardy, who can't keep his effort down.
8' Tielemans's cross-cum-shot from outside the box is ambitious to say the least. It sails harmlessly out of play.
7' Rashica plays a clever no-look throughball for Pukki towards the left-hand post. The Finn spots the opportunity but the pass has too much power on it for him to reach. Nice idea though.
5' Leicester are enjoying plenty of possession so far, but they've lost the ball for now. Pukki jinks into the box and is held off by Evans. Schmeichel passes safely out wide.
3' Both teams are taking their time to find their feet in this game. Smith chats with former Leicester boss Shakespeare in the technical area.
1' Norwich get this game underway!
Leicester are unbeaten in all three of their Premier League home games against Norwich, although these games have seen just four goals scored in total. Norwich lost the reverse fixture 2-1 last August. This could be a low-scoring affair that goes in the Foxes' favour.
Dean Smith makes four changes to Norwich from their sorry 4-0 home loss to West Ham United last weekend. Gunn, Giannoulis, Rupp and the 19-year-old youth product Springett come in.
Leicester make five changes from their 2-1 home defeat to Everton three days ago. Justin and Maddison return, as do the front three of Lookman, Barnes and Vardy, who's been involved in 21 goals in his last 14 Premier League games against promoted sides.
SUBS: Przemyslaw Placheta, Ben Gibson, Kieran Dowell, Tim Krul, Christos Tzolis, Brandon Williams, Liam Gibbs, Jon Rowe, Jacob Lungi Sorensen.
NORWICH CITY (4-2-3-1): Angus Gunn; Max Aarons, Grant Hanley (c), Sam Byram, Dimitrios Giannoulis; Billy Gilmour, Lukas Rupp; Tony Springett, Pierre Lees-Melou, Milot Rashica; Teemu Pukki.
SUBS: Patson Daka, Luke Thomas, Caglar Soyuncu, Nampalys Mendy, Marc Albrighton, Ayoze Perez, Danny Ward, Kelechi Iheanacho.
LEICESTER CITY (4-3-3): Kasper Schmeichel; Daniel Amartey, Timothy Castagne, Jonny Evans, James Justin; James Maddison, Youri Tielemans, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall; Ademola Lookman, Jamie Vardy, Harvey Barnes.
In that sense, there are no better opponents for Leicester than Norwich, who haven't won an away game against a non-promoted side all season and have conceded a league-high 75 goals. The Canaries may be heading back to the Championship, but until they do the beatings look destined to continue.
Leicester's European adventure has taken its toll on their form as they've failed to win their last five Premier League games, losing each of the last two. The Foxes haven't lost three in a row since February 2019, Claude Puel's final three games in charge of the club. Brendan Rodgers' men need a win soon to avoid ending the season on a sour note.
